You can also see me play some songs on YouTube.
I will add more as time allows.
Music Background
I have been involved in some kind of music since elementary school. I took piano lessons through third grade, when I switched to trombone. In fifth grade, I auditioned for the Florida's Singing Sons Boychoir and toured South Florida and the Bahamas with them for two years. In ninth grade, I briefly took up the guitar. High school sports kept me busy and it slipped away, but I continued to sing in church choir and school musicals, and was invited to join Advanced Chorus in school. I continued doing musical theater in college and even took voice lessons. Several years later, I sang with a traveling group call Se'lah in the Tallahassee, Florida area for a year before a job change forced us to relocate.
In July 2005, my in-laws worked some magic and I was lucky enough to spend a weekend
with some great musicians as they jammed and practiced together for the Celebration
of the Sea Music & Film Festival. How great, you ask? Well, you
tell me. Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Barry Goudreau & Fran
Sheehan of Boston, Skunk Baxter of Steely Dan & The Doobie Brothers, Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC,
super model turned musician Sabrina Barnett, Mike Mangini the world's fastest drummer,
Johhny A & his lovely wife Beth, Bryan O'Neal of the Bus Boys, and David Feder.
They were all great people who didn't hesitate to talk about anything I wanted.
Later, I ran into Steven and he remembered me. How cool is it to be recognized
by a rock legend? After that, I knew that I had to get back into music. I started teaching myself guitar
and eventually joined a praise band called Opening Act as guitarist and vocalist. When our illustrious leader leader left, his job fell
to me. About a year later I left the band and plan to start sitting in with
a group of very talented people at Friend Church oin the next few weeks.
