Mirrored Time is an original play based on Scottish Folklore and oral traditions. Playwright Gabrielle Peterson has completed her degree in Theatre, and will complete a second degree in International Studies. She was awarded the Magellan Scholarship to travel to Scotland to research Scottish folklore and oral traditions, write and produce an original play. Gabrielle's research project, Tales of Scottish Lore for American Children's Theatre, recently won first place in the prestigious Arts, Humanities and Culture category of research at USC. The project was then one of two selected out of all subjects and students to be submitted for the national Forum Research Award, which if selected, would give the project national publication.
The SC Shakespeare Company is proud to showcase Ms. Peterson as part of their new Emerging Artist Program, designed to provide local young artists with an opportunity to display their talents in a supportive and professional environment.
The cast features Itai Almor, Tiffany Dinsmore, Nathan Dawson, Jeni Miller, Marques Moore, Esteban Nevarez, Jillian Peltzman, and Caroline Wilson.
Mirrored Time is presented in partnership with the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission and the Saluda Shoals Foundation. Proceeds from the event will support the future construction of Nature's Theatre. This state-of-the-art facility will feature a covered stage, fixed seating for approximately 500 people, lawn seating for nearly 500 more, and a rooftop event space.

Performances
The company is comprised of classically trained actors who have honed their talents on a worldwide stage, having studied at such prestigious arenas as the former Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC, and the internationally acclaimed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Actors of their skill could have easily left their home state to seek work in more traditional theatrical venues, but this is what sets the company apart - they want the citizens of Columbia, and the entire state of South Carolina, to benefit directly from their talent.
