COMING THIS FALL
It is a great pleasure to announce that The South Carolina Shakespeare Company has received the rights for the musical, Les Miserables, by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boubil for its 2013-2014 season. Since our contract has now been accepted, we can move forward with pre-production plans. To be able to have Les Miserables added to our repertoire has been a dream for the company since our inception. Like our production of The Man of LaMancha, it is in keeping with our mission to bring the best of the classics to Columbia and the Midlands, and we feel it will be a truly memorable event for the entire community. Because of the uniqueness of the work, and our desire to make the production worthy of its musical legacy and Victor Hugo's immortal story, we are planning now for next year's production.
