Emergency assistance with disaster system for Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. Primary focus was new development and maintenance in Natural 4.1.4, followed by code analysis using Natural Engineer 6.1.
06/2008 – 09/2008 City of Montreal – Montreal, QC, CA
Upgrading Software AG products to current levels. Primary focus was code remediation of Natural 2.2 to 3.1 using Natural Engineer 6.1 for impact analysis.
11/2004 – 12/2007 State of South Carolina Employee Insurance Program – Columbia, SC
Developed and maintained a web services Employee Benefits System for enrollments and benefits changes. Primary focus was a UNIX Natural 6.2/Adabas 5.1 back-end against a Java web interface.
07/2001 – 07/2004 State of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation - Harrisburg, PA
Developing and maintaining a web services federal Crash Reporting System for all statewide crashes reported to police. Primary focus was a Lotus Domino R5 web interface against a mainframe Natural/DB2 back-end.

Determine needs for future projects, evaluate solutions, and resolve issues, including resolving Construct upgrade issues using Natural NT 4.1.2 issues.

Emergency programming and analysis, and employee training in a mainframe environment using Natural 2.3/Adabas.
01/2000-02/2001 State of Hawaii Employee Retirement System – Honolulu, HI
Created the Service Acquisition, Service Contribution, and Employer Reporting portions of a new retirement system for State employees on a Unix system using Construct 3.3.3, Natural 3.1.1, and Adabas on the backend, and EntireX DCOM middleware to connect the two.
04/1998-01/2000 Thomas & Betts - Memphis, TN
Created the Customer Profile portion of a European Order Entry System for Thomas & Betts. Automated EDI orders and order changes, using CONSTRUCT 4.1.2, Natural 2.3.4, Adabas 6.2.1, Predict 3.4.1, TSO, JCL, NATRJE, etc. with Entire Connection 4.1.2. Created and participated in a variety of pieces of a U.S. and Canada order processing system including Intermediate Receiver, Commissions, Pricing, etc. Integrated new U.S. and Canadian systems with the European system. Performed some web enablement of the aforementioned system using iXpress 2.6.2 and EntireX middleware. Performed technical evaluations of potential Software AG employees.

Developed new payment functionality and processing capabilities using Natural, Adabas, Predict, TSO/SPF, JCL, etc. Developed, tested, debugged, and documented streamlined billing, payment and reconciliation processes in both online and batch environments saving Commercial Union Insurance Company approximately $500,000 annually.
